As part of the team at MadeKnowhere Studios, I worked as a designer on SpendRule, an AI contract intelligence platform built for healthcare networks. It actively reads 300-page service contracts and validates them against incoming invoices, stopping hospitals from overpaying before the money ever leaves the bank.

The biggest hurdle was taming the sheer complexity of the data. Hospitals deal with massive contracts, hidden pricing tiers, and complicated vendor rules. The challenge was designing a way for busy finance teams to navigate this dense system with total ease, instead of getting buried under a clunky, traditional enterprise UI.

We went back to the studs. Solving this meant completely rethinking the information architecture from the ground up. We mapped out exactly how users need to move, stripped out the dead ends, and redesigned the core journeys. The final product hides the heavy lifting behind an interface that feels fast, light, and surprisingly human.
